About the Japanese Exchange Student

March 14, 2010

So like I mentioned a few months ago, my sister will be hosting a Japanese exchange student and she will be arriving next week. Because they think I have nothing else to do with my time I am the eldest, my parents have commissioned me to babysit both girls. What will my parent’s be doing during this time, you ask? They will be taking a road-trip. ARGH!!!!

Here’s some information about the girl:

Name: Kaoru [last name witheld]

Information about my family: I live with my parents, an elder sister (Haruka) and two little brothers (Satoshi and Jun).  My father is an office worker and my mother (Naomi) is a housewife.  I have to goldfish.

Major interests and activities: I am a member of the track and field club; I am a sprinter.  I train hard every day.  My hobbies are listening to music, and shopping.  I like to buy something cute or delicious sweets.  I want to be able to cook sweets well by myself.

Kaoru’s itinerary includes:

  • A visit to the Smithsonian.
  • Attending a high school dance (Spring Fling).
  • Going shopping.
  • Attending classes with my sister.
  • Going to a potluck dinner
  • And a whole bunch of other events that I’m going to have to chauffeur both girls to.

Sounds exciting to me, hope everything turns out great. Where do you reside? A good potluck dinner should do the trick, Naija food to the fullest.

I hope you'll be one of those upper crust chauffeurs and adopt a uniform as well as a British accent.
