For as long as I can remember my favorite great aunt has always worn the same perfume. It is called Narcisse by Chloe. Although Narcisse is not the sweetest smelling or most expensive perfume, it is definitely one of my favorites because even the slightest whiff of it reminds me of my aunt.

So I was doing some shopping this weekend and I came across a little perfume boutique. It got me thinking about signature scents and what I would like for my signature scent to be. I have been ‘sniffing’ around and I think I’ve finally found it. I cannot tell you guys what it is called but it smells pretty damn great! It is a bit on the pricey side but I think It will be well worth it when I have my own niece/nephew who will remember me just by the scent of my perfume. My only fear, though, is that if manufacturing of the perfume is discontinued, what will I do? Has anyone ever had this problem or do I just have too much time on my hands? (I’m at work right now).

Lol. I know exactly what you mean. For my aunt it Charlie… Red some times Blue. It's a staple. For my mom she switches around but the one scent that I will always always tie to her is Obsession. That was my momma's scent. I haven't found mines yet. I don't have the patience. Plus as soon as I go to that part of Macy's I get an instant headache. I like one of Escada's scents but it's not an everyday scent. No you don't have too much time on your hands… i'm at work too lol.

I love the idea of having a signature scent and I've found one that I like…for now. I just have to remember to wear perfume more regularly so that that scent gets associated with me.I've never thought about what I'd do if it gets discontinued but I guess I'll search for a new scent. The same brand might have one that works. You are so right about associating certain scents with people. My mom has a few that she wears that I love and think suit her so well. Sometimes she buys me scents but she's learning (from my regular comments on the matter) that buying people new scents is very personal thing, because individual body chemistry makes a difference.
